Information: The Director of Finance and Grants Management oversees the day to day, operation of sponsored programs administration at Buffalo State. This includes account establishment and maintenance; purchasing and accounts payable, billing and collections, and award close-out and records retention. The Director is also responsible for establishing and monitoring internal controls that insure that the Research Foundation Office of Sponsored Programs remains compliant with all sponsor guidelines, federal regulations, and RF policy and procedures. Special projects, (currently e-forms and e-files), to the extent that they must conform to RF guidelines and meet federal audit requirements and cost accounting standards also often ultimately fall under the purview of the Director. The role of the Director also encompasses the financial administration of the Research Foundation Office of Sponsored Programs at Buffalo State College. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Director prepares the annual RF budget, monitors indirect cost reviews and other key financial indicators, and establishes and manages RF Funded accounts. The Director of Finance and Grants Management is the liaison between the campus and Central Office. In this capacity she serves as the Campus Point of Contact and sits on a variety of corporate wide committees including the Sponsored Programs Focus Group (SPFG), the Accounting Focus Group, the University College Research Council (UCRC), the OM Data use Committee and the Human Subjects Forum.
